A Book of Shadows

This book is about occultism pure and simple. Anyone interested in this subject knows there are hundreds of books out there on magick and the occult. The serious reader also knows that most of them have very little worthwhile information. Most are simple introductions to this fascinating science and discipline.

This book rises out of my own frustration with the lack of available material on these subjects. Even worse are the distortions and superstitions that pervade this entire subject. Magick is very subjective and personal. It is also very mechanical and straightforward when viewed correctly.

This then is my Book of Shadows exploring the development of the soul and the growth of its magickal powers. I can safely say you will find nothing like this elsewhere in the world. Many of the concepts are cutting edge material that are seriously at odds with traditional thought.

A notable example is the dream diary. Conventional magickal thought stresses the absolute importance of keeping a dream diary filling it with meticulous notes.

My own experiences show that development grows in a mechanical and progressive manner according to the amount of effort given. Finite points are reached that allow certain types of experience. Keeping such a diary does nothing to advance one's development except in the accumulation of effort over a long period of time. The effort matters, the diary itself does not.
